yeast infection natural treatment My doctor recently treated me for system yeast infection (candida), and I understand this can make sugar cravings especially strong. Even with treatment, they are still out of control.
Is there a tea or supplement I can take? I already take chromium once/day. Please recommend.

yeast infection natural treatment My boyfriend has a 14 year old cat that has a reoccurring ear infection. For months the vet tech didn’t know what it was (not cancer, no mites) and has now diagnosed it as yeast. The cat has a daily pill and ear drops to keep it under control. I think this treatment will be required for the duration of the cat’s natural life.
Now, we had discussed moving in together. I have two healthy cats. They are brothers and affectionate towards each other (bathing, namely cleaning the other’s ears). My real concern is whether this yeast is contagious – and if I would be putting my two cats at risk for catching the same infection. audiocollision – thanks for the advice about diet change. Yogurt makes sense. He currently eats wet food (1 can a day) and dry food (whatever is on sale) and at times snubs his nose at one or the other. I have suggested a regulation of a type of food instead of constant change. (I know it upsets my kitties tummies, who are on a vet prescribed food for UI and refuse all other food now.) Maybe I can get the boyfriend to sway to a potentially healthier feeding ritual, along with the prescribed meds of course.
babyuleftme – I also have strongly considered waiting for this to pass before moving. You are correct about ill kitties and the change of household dynamics being stressful in itself. Luckily the boyfriends cat is easy to medicate – eats the pill in his food and takes ear drops like a champ. He is a happy camper until the infection comes back. Unfortunately I don’t see the yeast problem being gone for good. Will give the yogurt/allergen food a try.
I am not sure if it is contagious. My dog has had a few ear yeast infections, and it hasn’t happened to any other dogs or cats in the house. Best to call the vet and ask.

I need some serious advice.
I am 10 weeks today and I was told by my doctor that I have a yeast infection. I’m taking the generic 7 day treatment for monistat and when I used it the first time ( I used the applicator) I started getting cramps. Is that normal or should I be worried? I used it for the 2nd time last night and still when I went to lay down I had cramps. I haven’t had any bleeding and before I started using the medicine I didn’t have cramps. I’m just extra worried since the last time I was pregnant it ended in miscarriage without even hearing a heartbeat. I have heard the heartbeat for this baby just a few days ago. 
I’m praying that I have a healthy baby.
Oh and has anyone heard of flagyl? I was prescribed that also for an overgrowth of natural bacteria we have in our vaginas. I read about it online and didn’t like what was said about it so I decided not to take it, yet I had already taken only one of the 14. Do you think everything’s okay? Sorry for the novel. I hope to hear from you ladies soon.
yes its normal. But flagyl is ok. i took it. and he shouldve gave u the 3 day treatment I dont recommend the real Monistat 1 day because it causes more itching and burning than before . But mainly consult ur physician when something like this happens especially cramps

If untreated it will drive you crazy with the itching. I got my first when I was 12 from wet bathing suit. Itching, burning and more then usual discharge. Treatments over the counter Monistat, cotton panties and do not lounge in a wet bathing suit to long.

I am at the end of a mild yeast infection – after treating it with natural remedies, the itching/redness/swelling are gone. I had pretty minimal discharge, mostly yeast growth concentrated around the labia rather than inside the vagina, which has also reduced quite a bit.
I still have a little bit of what I guess is yeast (though I’d normally just think of as smegma and not be concerned about if it occurred outside of a yeast infection) around the labia. I’m wondering if this is typical after finishing a YI treatment and whether it’ll just take a few more days for my vaginal pH and flora to normalize and kill it completely.
Does this happen to the rest of you when most of your symptoms have subsided and you’ve completed your course of treatment? Or do you think this is an indication that the infection isn’t completely gone and further treatment is needed?
I’ve had thrush fairly often. living in tropical climate and when I’m stressed out .. bam it pops up again. Since i seem to be so susceptible i tend to err on the side of caution and continue treatment until there’s no sign or symptom of the yeast infection.
That said, thrush is not that big a deal, for most women the body has it’s own defenses that will fight off the infection. if you aren’t feeling any symptoms you’re probably mostly cured and your body will get rid of any last vestiges of the candida.
things that might help… eating certain foods apparently help with PH and keeping up the good bacteria count that will fight the candida. eat lots of yogurt.. and plenty of garlic. don’t keep washing your nether regions as that will also kill off good bacteria which isn’t good.
also i found this helps.. if you CAN… go to sleep without underwear.. and wear light cottony underwear the rest of the time. no jeans. even our lady bits needs to breath.
if all else fails.. go back to doctor.. these days there is a pill that works wonders (dont ask me how it works.. i just know it does!) good luck!
